LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Christian Scott Copley, 26, will be held on Monday at 3:30 at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Hancock will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness –Kershaw, PO Box 1267, Columbia, SC 29202. Christian died on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Dr. Donald Joe Copley and Diana Victoria Cole Copley. He was employed at Prewitt Sheet Metal Works and was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, history, and was an avid Clemson fan. Surviving are his mother, Diana Copley of Lugoff; father, Dr. Donald Copley (Lori Maria) of Camden; brothers and sisters, Donald Kyle Copley of N. Wilkesboro, N.C., Amy Lynn Gosnell (James Craig) of Greer, Heidi Anne Lide of Lexington, and Rebecca Lois Sandborg (Tom) of Peoria, Ill., Callie Maria Copley of Camden, John Edil Copley of Camden, David Edwin Copley of Camden, and Matthew Gabriel Copley of Camden; grandmother, Granny Janet Kirk.
