CAMDEN – Funeral service for Howard Murray Branham, 73, will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Mels Chapel Holiness Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday 4-7 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Mels Chapel Holiness Church. Mr. Branham passed away on Thursday Morning, January 5, 2017. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late J.B. and Eva Virginia Wilson Branham. He retired from DeRoyal Textiles. He was a faithful member of Mels Chapel Holiness Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Branham served God faithfully and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Dorethea Ann Cook Branham; children, Shirley Segars of Camden, Johnny Branham (Robin) of Camden, Carolyn Lee (Sandy) of Camden, Leslie Branham (Kay) of Bishopville, and Trish Arledge of Camden; brother, Billy Branham (Phyllis) of Camden; sister-in-law, Leila Hinson of Camden; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Doug Branham; grandson, Justin Arledge; and brothers, Willard Hinson and Donnie Branham.
