CASSATT – Funeral services for Nathan Williams, 69, will be held Wednesday at 10:30am at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Mr. Williams passed away December 31, 2016. Born in Georgetown, SC, on September 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Isaiah Simmons and Elise Williams. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Faye Lynn Williams; children, Alexis Branham and Albertha Bailey; grandchildren, Kelshawd Keller and Maurice Bailey; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Simmons and Mary Blunt; brother, Patrick Simmons; in-laws, Robert and Geraldine Branham; aunt, Geneva Grant. He was predeceased by his brother, Isaiah Simmons.
