CASSATT – Funeral service for Jessie Anderson, 67, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Lugoff Church of God with burial to follow in the Stevens-Ray Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Anderson passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Claude James Ray Sr. and Martha Viola Parker Ray. She enjoyed coloring, fishing, yard sales and spending time with family. Surviving are her husband, George Hughes; daughter, Connie Hughes of Cassatt; brothers, Claude Ray Jr. (Tina) and James Clennie Ray (Margie); sisters, Mary Alice Osmer (Wayne), Geneva Lyles, Louise Hall (Johnny), Carolyn Morris (Tim), and Sarah Branham (Pete); grandchildren, Jade Branham, Ashley Lyles, Misty Graham and James Dent; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Edward Lee Hughes; daughter, Melissa Lee Nichols; a brother, Charles R. Ray; and a sister, Vera Stevens.
