CAMDEN – A funeral service to celebrate the life of Margie Baker Morris, 74, will be held Monday at 5:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The Rev. Tommy Bowers and the Rev. Larry Zanger will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Morris passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. Born in Kershaw County, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Alex Berry and Sallie Victoria Hopkins Baker. Mrs. Morris enjoyed playing the guitar. Surviving are her son, Thomas Earl Morris of Camden; daughters, Wanda Morris Taylor of Kershaw and Ellen Thorpe (Mike) of Camden; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Horton of Lugoff, Mae Stokes (Thomas) of Cassatt, and Diane Catoe (Donnie) of Bethune. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Earl Morris.
