LUGOFF – A time of gathering to celebrate the life of Laney Dale Bowen, 42, will be held on Monday from 3:00-4:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday at 5:00 p.m. in Hardshell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hardshell Cemetery. Laney died on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Born in North Charleston, he was the son of James Clyde Bowen, Jr. and Linda Carol Ray Bowen. He was outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and cooking. He was a regular at the ShivMart Coffee Club. Surviving are his wife, Rachel Allana Reynolds Bowen; parents, Clyde and Linda Bowen of Lugoff; son, Michael Aaron Bowen of Lugoff; daughter, Katherine Analiese Bowen of Lugoff; sisters, Casandra K. Hinson (Robert) and Marie Caroline Fee (Bill); and nieces and nephews.
