Obituary of Howard M. Branham

LUGOFF – A graveside service for Howard McLaurin Branham, Jr., 75, will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Ralph Ramey will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of Camden Archives and Museum at 1314 Broad Street Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Branham, husband of the late Sarah Branham, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Born in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late Howard McLaurin and Belva Peake Branham I. Mr. Branham retired as a biology teacher at Airport High School, from the South Carolina State Hospital as a Mental Health Specialist, and later as director of the Camden Archives and Museum. He was a member of the Kershaw County Historical Society. Surviving are his children, Angela Branham of Lugoff, Howard M. Branham III (Debbie) of Key West, FL, Kenneth Branham of Lugoff, Tonya Ramey (Ralph) of Blackshear, Ga; sister, Marilyn Robinson of Lexington; a brother, Billy Branham of Cayce; and grandchildren, Erika R. Freels, Katherine D. Freels, Howard M. Branham IV, Nelly Branham, and Rebecca Branham. He was predeceased by a son, Richard Branham; sisters, Shelby Pittman and Carol Robinson, and a brother, Boyce Branham.
