KERSHAW - Funeral Service for William Kelly, 69, will be held Monday at 11am at DeKalb Baptist Church with burial to follow in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Memorials may be made to the Wateree Animal Hospital Caring Hearts and Caring Hands, 500 York Street, Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Kelly died Saturday, November 25, 2006. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late George Haney “ Cap” Kelly and Zett Sheorn Kelly. He was a carpenter which he also enjoyed as a hobby. He enjoyed raising Game Roosters and taking care of his dog Ben. He attended DeKalb Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Lonell Anderson Kelly; son, Billy Kelly and his girlfriend, Elisa “Frog” Austin of Kershaw; daughter and son-in-law Patty and Francois Truesdale of Camden; brothers, Joe Kelly of Bishopville, J.B. Kelly of Kershaw, Carrol Kelly and his wife, Anita of Kershaw, and Purvis Kelly; sister, Fleta Jackson of Camden; grandchildren, Billy Joe Kelly, Dennis Kelly, Kelly Truesdale, and Adrian Horton; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Tara Kelly; and his loyal companion, “Ben”. He was predeceased by his brothers, Willard and Larry Kelly.
