ELGIN – The family will have a time of gathering to celebrate the life of Anthony J. Butkas, 64, on Friday from 2-4pm at Powers Funeral Home. Mr. Butkas passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. Born in Hoosick Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Albert Butkas and Josephine Jaronski Butkas. Mr. Butkas was the production manager at Oak-Mitsui. He enjoyed trying to catch fish and camping, playing his guitar and maintaining his pool. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Jayne Marie Zilinskas Butkas; daughters, Rozalynd Cawood and Makenzie Aiello; grandchildren, Gracyn, Josephine, Madeline and Jackson; sisters, Susan (Larry) Manning and Julia Butkas; brothers, Albert (June) “Buckey” Butkas and Stanley (Carmella) Butkas. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanna Day.
