LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Helen Marie Adams, 65, will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Adams passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Brayboy Sr. and Dorothy Nobles Brayboy. She enjoyed ceramics and crafts and loved life and her family. Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Tom Karl Adams; sons, John Emory Adams (Angela) and Brian Karl Adams (Erin); sisters, Patsy Jones (Griff) and Melody Jeter (Craig); brothers, Anthony Brayboy and Tim Brayboy (DeeDee); 6 grandchildren, Samuel Lee Adams, Jordyn A. Miller, Savanna Marie Adams, Brian Karl Adams, Jr., Abbigayle Adams, and Lane Carter; 1 great-grandson, Timmothy Dylan Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
