LEXINGTON – A funeral service for Charlie Wingard Davis, 89, will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Rabon Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am -1pm at the Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Leon Rawl will officiate. Mr. Davis passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016. Born in Richland County, he was the son of the late Rosier Davis and Catherine Rabon Davis. Mr. Davis enjoyed playing pool, and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Surviving are his companion of 28 years, Ann Backman; children, Lynn (Carlie) Davis Batten and Bill (Kathy) Charles Davis; grandchildren, Christy (Bobby) Harmon, Mary Ann (Mike) Keim, Tammy (Brian) Maroney, and Ashley (Nick) Mitchke; great-grandchildren, Jordan Keim, Willow Maroney and Brandy Maroney; sisters, Mary (John) King and Jane Jordan. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sherry Davis Osborne; and siblings, Otto, Bruce, Leroy, R.W., Preston, Catherine, Sarah, Florie, Juanita, Emily and Osborne.
