CASSATT – A memorial service for Mary Bird Ferguson Dixon, 76, will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Ms. Dixon passed away Friday, August 5, 2016. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Miller Watkins Ferguson and Olive Kathryne Lindsey. Ms. Dixon was an LPN at Kershaw County Memorial Hospital, where she also volunteered. She was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church and a member of the Red Hat Society. Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Jeff) Angerman and Wendy (Gene) Corn; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Britt, Lynn (Matt) Nutter, Brinson Corn, Jenny Angerman, Breanna Corn, Dixon Lee Angerman; and great-grandchildren, Conner Nutter, Matthew Nutter, and Elaine Britt. She was predeceased by her brother, Buddy Ferguson.
