Five years ago, today, I lost my best friend, my mother. There is not a day goes by that I don't think about you and especially today, the tears flow freely.
I know you are in a better place, free of your illness and singing with the angels. I always said that you had a direct line to God and now you are with Him.
I miss being able to pick up the phone and call you when I just need someone to talk to or have you pray for me. Oh, how I miss that. Our conversation always started with "Hey Mother" and you would respond "Hey Angela". I can still hear your comforting voice.
They say time heals all wounds, but time will never erase my memories of you.
I love you so very much and miss you even more. God has certainly received the best!

Dear Sweatt Family,
It was through the Kershaw Baptist Association that I met Quetene - I was the associational secretary. She was such a godly woman and my life was enriched because of the friendship that developed. Please know that you have my deepest sympathy. (I learned about her homegoing from the July 18 issue of the Chronicle-Independent which was received today - my husband and I now live in Evans, GA.) Dear Sweatt Family, I am so sorry to hear that Mrs. Sweatt passed away. We know she is in heaven. About 30 years ago when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I started getting the most beautiful and incouraging letters. It was many years later before I found out it was Mrs. Sweatt writing these lovely letters. I cherished them and they were so filled with love and Gods word.
I will never forget your family and especially your precious wife, mother, and grandmother. I lost my own mother on 7/3 so I know the heart ache you feel. My love and prayers are with you. All my love, Reda Rietveld

Mr. Sweatt & family; Ms. Quetene was such a loving and thoughtful person. It meant so much to mom, and me, when Quetene took the time to call and check on mom when she was in such bad shape herself. That only shows the love she had for others and what a Godly woman she was.
But, we all know that mom and Quetene are in heaven praising and worshiping God now!!
With my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

I am so very sad to hear about Ms. Queteen. My heart goes out to you and your family during this time of sadness. I know she would not want sadness becasue she is with Jesus now and she was always a bright ray of light and such an inspiration to so many people, she will be sorely missed; but no more pain or suffering for her. Ms. Queteen was and still is one of Gods own angels, she always tried to see the good in everyone she met. I found her to be much like a grandmother to me~ and I adored her.
And this is what he promised us- even eternal life. <>1 John 2:25
Mr. Jim, you will see her again~ the love of your life and you her's. God Bless you. Carry on for her becasue that is what I feel she is counting on you to do for Solen and all of your precious family.

Dear Mr. Sweatt:
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Ms. Quetene was a wonderful woman. She will truly be missed. She was special to us because of our children and how she loved them in the nursery at church. We still have the little blue bibles she gave them. She touched our lives and we will miss her. God Bless you and your family during this sad time.
