LUGOFF - Funeral service for Ted M. Roberts, 52, will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Kershaw City Cemetery, Kershaw. Rev. Trent McLaughlin will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Tri County, 2039 West DeKalb St., Camden, S.C. 29020. Mr. Roberts died Monday, July 14, 2008. Born in Camden, S.C., he was a son of the late Cletis Thomas Roberts and Nettie Mae Whitaker Roberts. He worked in the I.T. Department at Invista as a computer technician. He was a member of Flint Ridge Baptist Church, Heath Springs, S.C. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Kershaw Country Club. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking, hunting, golfing, bike riding, and fishing. He is survived by his son, Jamie M. Roberts of Lugoff; brothers, Wayne (Julia) Roberts of Kershaw, Jackie (Joyce) Roberts of Lancaster, Ronnie (Becky) Roberts of Heath Springs, and Johnny (Diane) Roberts of Kershaw; and very special friends, Gaye Holden, Cindy and Gerald Blanchard. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty Lou Roberts.
