ELGIN – A memorial service for Linda Ann Ely, 68, will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to KershawHealth Hospice. Mrs. Ely passed away at home on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Born in Woodland, Calif., she was the daughter of the late L. B. and Ann Ramos Nettles. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and drawing. Surviving are her husband, Robert Clarence Ely; daughter, Kimberly Ann Dunlap (David) of Columbia; son, Robert Clarence Ely Jr. of Elgin; sister, Wanda White (Richard); grandchildren, Aaron Dunlap and Michael Dunlap; nieces, Michelle Gonzales, Dawn Sangston, Denise Bachman, and Anna Gonzales; and a nephew, Ronnie Nettles. She was predeceased by a brother, Frank Nettles.
