Obituary of Cathy Faulkenberry

Cathy Erelene Faulkenberry, born on October 31, 1958 in Camden, SC, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. Cathy was known for her fervent dedication to her family, her love for the beach, and her culinary talents. She spent the majority of her career with Builder's Transport before retiring to spend more time with her loved ones. She was also a devout member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she found tremendous comfort and community.

Cathy is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Faulkenberry; her son, Scott Faulkenberry; her siblings, Charlie Ramsey, Debbie Baker, and Carolyn Lucas; and her adoring grandchildren, Haley, Autumn, Zachary, and Cheyanne Faulkenberry. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma-Leen Lucas, her son, Jason Faulkenberry; and siblings, Danny Lucas, Sandra Hood, Ann Ray, and Wanda Ray. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 10-11 AM at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
