Obituary of Cheryl Taylor Jordan

Cheryl Taylor Jordan, born on June 4, 1956 in Camden, SC, passed away on September 22, 2026. A lifelong resident of Camden, she was a beacon of warmth and generosity in her community, always ready to lend a hand, share a kind word, or offer a slice of her famous homemade cakes. Devoted to her family and friends, Cheryl was a vibrant woman who lived her life with courage, resilience, and unwavering faith. She was a member of the Malvern Hill Baptist Church and an active participant in the Seniors Life Group, where she carried out her belief in service to others.

Cheryl had a long and fulfilling career with DuPont and InVista, during which she nurtured a close-knit community of colleagues, many of whom were recipients of her cakes. She was also an avid crocheter, a skilled craftswoman, and a dedicated volunteer at local voting registration poles. Cheryl loved to shop and travel. However, her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Cheryl was a proud breast cancer survivor of 15 years, during which she forged deep and meaningful connections with many others who had shared that journey.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Jordan, her son, Jason Ryan Jordan (Julie), her grandchildren, Brooke, Jackson, and Graham Jordan, her great grandchild, Kane Jones, and her brothers, Frankie Taylor (Beverly) and Daryl Taylor (Reba). She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Virginia Baker. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Daisy Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Malvern Hill Baptist Church.  The memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Malvern Hill Baptist Church's Building Fund.

Cheryl's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience. She left an indelible mark on all who knew her. To celebrate Cheryl's life, we encourage you to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Her light will continue to shine in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear.
