Obituary of Billy Pitts

Graveside service for William Edward Pitts, known as "Billy", 86, will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in DeKalb Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to DeKalb Baptist Church.

Born on May 6, 1940 in Camden, S.C., he was the son of the late Roscoe Reese Pitts and Louise Owens Pitts.  He worked for Clearwater Cove Marina until his retirement. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed every moment spent with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Sonya Goldberg (Max); grandchildren, Austin Eubanks and Matthew Eubanks; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Fowler, Austin Carr Eubanks, Sophia Grace Eubanks, Grayson Lane Eubanks and Hazel Wren Eubanks; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Polly Parker, Sarah Peake, Beverly Simpson, Carolyn Zimmerman; and Ricky Pitts.
