Paul Vincent Montagnese, born on March 27, 1950, in Lorain, OH, passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 76. Known for his love of family, hard work, and his knack for tinkering with motors, Paul left a lasting impression on everyone he met. As a retired diesel mechanic, he spent his career in heavy equipment repair, dedicating his skills to keeping machinery in top condition.

Paul resided in Kershaw, South Carolina, where he enjoyed his retirement years. He was a master at finding joy in the simple things, spending most of his time fishing, going on drives, and having long, meaningful talks with his son, Brett. His passion for motors didn't wane with his retirement, as he continued to tinker with them in his spare time. Above all, he was a devoted family man, lavishing love and attention on his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his loving wife, Frann Montagnese; children, Vincent Montagnese of OH, Michael Varady of OH, Brett Burr of Elgin, SC, Tracy Campbell of Camden, SC, Chevell West of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Joshaua Burr (Lacee), Haleigh Gross, Roman West; brothers, Daniel Montagnese (Dana), Ronald Montagnese (Mary); and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Montagnese, and mother, Joan Johnson. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for family will always be remembered by those who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Paul will be held at a later date.
