It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sueann Elizabeth McElroy, born March 18, 1955, in Suffern, New York, she left us on July 3, 2026. Sueann, a loving mother, devoted wife and caring grandmother. Her warm spirit touched the lives of many, and her unwavering love for her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, was a testament to her kind and nurturing nature.

Family has always been at the center of Sueann's world, and she was a beacon of love and support to all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward "Ed" McElroy; daughter, Laura Picariello, and her husband, Nick Picariello ; grandchildren, Ryan McElroy, Nicholas Picariello, Travis Picariello, Chase Picariello, Jacob Lopez; and a sister-in-law, Mary Webb. She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Karol McElroy; and her son, Glenn McElroy.

A visitation for Sueann will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 5-7 pm at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078. The funeral service will take place on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10:00 am at the same location. Following the service, Sueann will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens, 11020 Two Notch Road, Elgin, South Carolina, 29045.
