Jerry Ancrum Hall Obituary
Jerry Ancrum Hall, was born on September 6, 1946, in Cassatt, South Carolina. He spent his life in Kershaw County, becoming a fixture in the community as both a skilled electrician for DuPont and a truck driver for various trucking companies. Jerry's contributions to his community extended beyond his professional expertise in the textile manufacturing industry. His passion for life was evident in his love for horses and horseback riding, his watching dirt track races, and his renowned coon hunting skills, earning him the affectionate CB name "Coon Dog." The fond memories of Jerry dancing in the doctor's office, a testament to his free-spirited nature, will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Above all else, Mr. Hall's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a father. His daughters, Jackie King and Bridgett McLaughlin, were the center of his world and his most treasured blessings. He loved them unconditionally and took immense pride in the women they became. The bond he shared with them was one of unwavering love, devotion, and support, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Jerry, a loving father, is survived by his girls, Jacqueline Hall King (Russell) of Lugoff, SC and Bridgett Hall McLaughlin (David) of Blacksburg, SC; sister, Nancy Jackson of Lugoff, SC; grandchildren, Ann Marie Branham (Nathan) of Lugoff, SC, Hayden Renee King and Kyleigh Lloyd; great grandson, Holden Paul Branham; special family friend, B.J. Gainey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cosmo and Polly Hall; and siblings, Mayvillia Hall, Paul Hall, Polly Leaird, Dot West and Sue Langley.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 11:00 am at Beaverdam Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
