Donald Robert Threatt passed away on May 24, 2026. He was born on August 19, 1945, in Camden, South Carolina, and lived his entire life in Cassatt, South Carolina. Donald was a devoted brother, being the oldest of three, a loyal son to his parents, Cleatus and Mary Elizabeth Threatt, and an unforgettable Uncle to many.

Donald found great joy in helping others. Whether through outreach programs at Beaverdam Baptist Church, volunteering with the Red Cross, or spending time with family and friends, he always put others before himself. After earning his degree, Donald proudly served in the United States Army before following in his father’s footsteps to work at the DuPont manufacturing plant, where he later retired after many years of dedicated service.

Donald enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, and farming. He was a devoted member of Beaverdam Baptist Church, faithfully serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Director, Treasurer, and on numerous church committees. His faith and love for the Lord were the foundation of his life and reflected in the kindness he showed to everyone he met.

Above all, Donald cherished his family and treasured every moment spent making memories with them. Even those who were not related to him lovingly knew him as “Uncle Donald” because of the warmth and care he showed to everyone around him.

Donald was known as a loyal friend and was deeply loved by his family for his selfless and genuine nature. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Linda Ward (David) and Larry Threatt (Sharon); nephews and nieces, Jonathan Wyant (Claire), Beth Daughtrey, Travis “Bubba” Threatt (Angie), Victoria “Vicki” Threatt, Rosalyn “Micki” Kriner (Dustin), Sam Threatt, Karen Threatt, and Jessica Threatt; and great-nephews and great-nieces, Dylan Kriner, Anna Kriner, William Kriner, Kevin Kriner, Holt Daughtrey, Madeline Daughtrey, Camden Wyant, Cade Wyant, and Cassie Wyant.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Cleatus and Mary Elizabeth Threatt.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Beaverdam Baptist Church in Cassatt, South Carolina, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, South Carolina.
