CASSATT- A funeral service for Dean Rayford Jackson, 72, will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Cassatt Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dean Elliott will officiate. The family will receive Saturday, April 25 from 4-6 pm at Powers Funeral Home.

     Mr. Jackson passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Born in Bishopville, he was a son of the late James Willard Jackson and Martha Wilson Jackson. Dean was a member of Cassatt Baptist Church, where he would sing in the choir. Dean retired from DuPont, and after retirement he enjoyed tinkering, repairing small engines, and playing his guitar.

    Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Jenelle Jackson; son, Adam Jackson (Mandy); grandchildren, Trevor Jackson, Wesley Jackson, Noah McCathern, Blake Delong; siblings, James "Alton" Jackson (Peggy), Linda Dubose, Abigail Williams (James), Naomi Hall (Buddy), Paul Jackson, Norward Jackson (Belinda); and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cassatt Baptist Church Missions Fund.
