Helen Dixon Threatt, wife of the late Horace K. Threatt, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Born in Darlington, SC on October 1, 1933, she was the daughter of the late, Barney Dixon and Evie Parnell Dixon. Together they raised six children and built a legacy for those left behind to cherish. Mrs. Threatt was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. 

She is survived by her children, Cathy Anderson, Steve Threatt, Cheryl Jones (Harvey) and Ronald Threatt (Sheryl); 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her late husband, she was predeceased by her children, Kenneth Threatt and Richard Threatt; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; sisters, Eunice Player, Ophelia Hayes, Bonnie Horton, Frances Caulder, Margaret Shoemake and Annette Gardner; brothers, Wallace Dixon and Charles Dixon; and son-in-law, Dean Anderson.         

A funeral service honoring Mrs. Threatt's life will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC, on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow the service in Beaverdam Baptist Church in Cassatt, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
