Virginia Ann Council Obituary
Virginia Ann Council, 67, of Johnstown, Pa., passed away at home on March 31, 2026. Born on June 20, 1958, in Camden, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Favor, Sr. and Laura Mae Carter Favor. With her warm hospitality, captivating charm, and the joy she took in making others feel cherished, Virginia left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Virginia lived a life filled with grace and elegance. A lover of the finer things in life, she was known for her impeccable taste and style, always presenting herself with an air of sophistication. She carried this elegance into her home, where she found joy in cooking and hosting others. Virginia was a beacon of love and care, and her family was near and dear to her heart.
Virginia is survived by her sisters, Gloria Jackson (Bennie), Annie Laura Favor, and Ara Ann Favor; step-daughters, Tashia Clark and Tasha Clark; and grandson, Nathan Clark, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Knox and Roosevelt Favor, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Alice Favor, Eva Mae Knox Reddick, Annette Knox Blackstock, and Delores Ann Favor.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11:00am at Powers Funeral Home, located at 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078 with burial to follow in Cedar Cemetery.
