Funeral services for Ms. Blandina G. Hinton, 72, of Lugoff, SC, will be held Monday, April 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Andrew Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.

Ms. Hinton entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 13, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Moses and Lizzie Mae Gadson.

Blandina enjoyed visiting casinos, watching TikTok videos, and playing the game Bubbles.

She is survived by her children, Jermaine Gadson, Nikecia Gadson, and Syvonne Gadson; siblings, Patricia Robinson, Moszell Gillyard (Roosevelt), Paulette Gadson, and Kathleen Gadson; grandchildren, Shairell, Jerrell, Kyjuan, Aiyanna, Nazir, Elias, Christon, Caleb, Caiden, Carson, and Jamilla; and a loving circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory and miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jerrell “Jimmy” Gadson; and her siblings, Harry, Randolph, Rickey, Lazarus, Stanford, and Levi Gadson, all of whom she held dear in her heart and memory.
