Nettie Moak Campbell Obituary
Nettie Moak Campbell,87, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at The Blake at Woodcreek Farms. Born in Blaney, SC, on September 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John Leslie and Kate Branham Moak. Nettie married her husband Algie Campbell, Jr. on 12/20/1963 in Rock Hill, SC. She worked for the Town of Elgin as Town clerk for many years before retiring in 1995. Prior to working for the Town of Elgin, she also worked for Blaney High School and Shakespeare. She was a faithful member of Highway Pentecostal Holliness Church in Elgin, SC. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed reading cookbooks, being outdoors, taking walks, going barefoot and above all else being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories in addition to her husband is her daughter, Nettie "Soupy" C. Jacobs (Scottie); siblings, Belva Fisher, Jeanette "Curl" Anderson and Kathy Brown (Harold) ; and grandchildren, Campbell Jacobs (Beth) and Caleb Jacobs (Hannah); greatgrandchildren, Leslie Kate Jacobs, Bennett Hartle, Caroline Hartle and Bowman Jacobs; sisters-in-law, Bunky Ulmer (Joe) and Edith Moak (Kenneth); and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Brown and Ruby "Beattie" Jeffers; and brothers, Johnny Moak, Andrew "Hammy" Moak, Jack Moak.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 4:00 pm at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin, SC, with burial to follow the service in the church cemetery. After the burial a visitation will be held in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin, SC. The family request that anyone planning to attend Mrs. Campbell’s service dress casual as Mrs. Campbell did not want a fuss. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to the Staff at The Blake at Woodcreek Farms and to Agape Hospice.
