Reynold "Rent" Sinkler, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026. Born in Eastover, SC he was the son of the late Simon and Estelle Harris Sinkler. Mr. Sinkler honorably served in the United States Army. Through the military he traveled overseas to Germany and various other countries. He was married to his wife Mrs. Lenora Counts Sinkler. Mr. Sinkler was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. When he wasn't outdoors he could be found watching sports, he loved the Boston Celtics, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco Giants, and the Gamecocks women basketball team. He was a good man who was known for being direct and determined. When he started a project he did everything in his power to complete it.

Left to cherish his memories in addition to his wife is their son, Mark Sinkler; Sisters, Stella Mae Gibson, Elizabeth Hamilton and JoAnn Jacob; brother, Moses Sinkler; brother-in-law, Thad Wilson; and grandson, Malachi Sinkler. 

He was predeceased by his siblings, Queenester Richardson, Ruthann Prioleau, Evelynn Wynn, Kathy Wilson, Letha Mae Gibson and William (Mac) Sinkler; and brother-in-laws, Wayne Gibson, Zebbie L. Hamilton and Oscar Jacob. 

A memorial service for Mr. Sinkler will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. Following the service an inurnment will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC at 3:00 pm.
