With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Albert Odell Humphries, whom passed away on March 6, 2026. Born in Kershaw, SC on September 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Odell Humphries and Lois Shaylor Humphries.

Albert had a personal passion that truly made him extraordinary. He was a devoted guitarist, his music touching the hearts of many, filling spaces with joy, comfort, and a sense of unity. His melodies were a testament to his inner spirit - vibrant, warm, and captivating. Mr. Humphries was a faithful member of Refuge Baptist Church in Cassatt.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Mary Rhouise Humphries and Robert Christopher Humphries; sister, Berta Mae; grandchildren, Richard David Phillips, Christian Dwight Eugene, Jr. Nolff, Brandon Michael Nolff, Tyler Humphries, Tristian Humphries and Hannah Ann Humphries.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his late wife, Agnes Linton Humphries; children, Albert Linton Humphries and Bennie Marshall Humphries. 

Services for Mr. Humphries will be held March 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at Refuge Baptist Church . In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Refuge Baptist Church, 2814 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, SC, 29067 in honor of Mr. Albert Humphries.
