Judith D. Floyd, a beloved wife, dedicated mother and passionate community volunteer, passed away on March 4, 2026. Born on November 25, 1940, in High Point, NC, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert Crowson and Robbie Crowson.
Judith's life was characterized by her commitment to nurturing her home, her husband of 32 years, Douglas Sr., and her community. She was a dedicated homemaker, who saw her role not as a job, but as a calling. Amidst her daily tasks of managing her own home, she found joy in serving others. This passion led her to a five-year tenure at the Karesh Wing, where she worked diligently with the elderly, providing comfort, companionship, and love. She also enjoyed traveling, and her and Douglas traveled for 20 years together.
A voracious reader, Judith found solace in the quiet corners of her home with a good book, but never let her love for literature keep her from being an active community member. She was an active member of the SMART Club and the Tri State Rebels, where she brought her spirit of service and leadership to bear.
Left to cherish her memories in addition to her husband are her children, Cindy Lynn Cassidy, Shane M. Webster, Beth Basham (Douglas), Christopher Webster (Tara); step-children, Dyonia Browder (Greg), Douglas "Dougie" Floyd, Jr.; brothers, Gilbert "Buddy" Crowson, Jr. (Becky) and Kenneth Eugene Crowson; 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Gay Dawn Harris.
Services for Mrs. Floyd will be privately held by the family.
