Darrell "Buddy" Wyman Young, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Born in Richland County, SC. He was the son to Jerry Gibbs Marthers and the late Rosa Lee Wesley Marthers. 

Buddy worked for many years for Marthers Fencing Company, building tennis courts, before retiring 28 years ago. He loved life and living every moment to the fullest. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR and his spare time fishing. 

Buddy is survived by his father, Jerry Marthers; siblings, Patricia Y. Farmer (George), Michael J. Marthers (Janice), Jerry D. Marthers (Regina) and Tina Marthers Key ; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. 

In addition to his mother, Buddy was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Jimmy Key. 

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden, SC.
