Dorothy Delores Simpson Taylor, born on June 23, 1936, in Union County, North Carolina. Delores was a homemaker by profession, but she was much more than just that. She enjoyed watching TV, having her hair done but above all else being with her family.

Left to cherish her memories is her grandsons, Troy Jordan (Melanie) and Todd Jordan (Mandy); great-grandchildren, Chad Jordan, Hunter Jordan, Colin Jordan, Kensley Williams (Casey), Landon Young and Cassie Jordan; and great great-grandchildren, Kaiden Jordan, Ella Kate Jordan, Macon Jordan, Wittley Kate Jordan, Avery Williams, Rhett Williams, and Granger Jordan. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Taylor; father, Marvin Simpson; her mother, Dorothy Griffin Simpson; a son, Robert Taylor; and a great grandson, Dalton Jordan.  

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Wateree Baptist Church in Camden, SC. Rev. Tayler Wells will be officiating.
