LUGOFF – A service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth York, 91, will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Mt. Prospect United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Eddie C. Thomas, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends 1hr prior to the service at the church. 

Mrs. York passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026.  Born in Lugoff, S.C., she was the daughter of the late David Deas and Maggie Grant Deas.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bernice Christopher, Valerie York (Shadid Bey), and Yvette York; grandchildren, Eric Christopher, Zalaiah Bey, Tashauna York, Jashaya Fulmore, and Tygie Cooper; great-grandchildren, Tristan Killett and Jaxson Carr; sister, Barbara White; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren, cousins, family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, William York; daughter, Debra York; brother, David Deas, Jr.; and son-in-law, Eric Christopher, Jr.
