Mrs. Isabel King Woods, affectionately known as "Gramps" was a woman of extraordinary faith, strength, and grace, transitioned peacefully at the remarkable age of 103 years and six months.

Born in Chesterfield, SC, August 28, 1922. She was the eldest daughter of the late Noel and Roxie King. Throughout her long and blessed life, Isabel remained a devoted servant of the Lord and a pillar of her church Catoe Chapel Church of God and Christ.

She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, and her memory will be cherished most deeply by her devoted daughters: Mary Ruth Bracey of Bishopville, SC; Mary Louise (James) Robinson of Columbia, SC; and Isa Mae Woods of Camden, SC. Sister-in-law, Alberta King and Sandra King; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-granchildren. Also, a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Isabel joins those who went before her, including her parents Roxie and Noel King; Husband Marshall Woods; Sons Calvin, Major, and Walter Woods (Mary Frances); Her step-children Marie Woods-Gilliam, R.C. Woods and Marshall Woods Jr; One grandson and Two granddaughters; Siblings James King, Major King, Nathaniel King, Eva Mae Caldwell, Susie Roxie, and Lillie Mae Simon. Son-in-law Isaac Bracey. 

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Isabel King Woods will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Catoe Chapel Church of God in Christ, 2297 Bethune Rd., Bethune, S.C. 29020 with burial to follow in Sandy Level Baptist Church Cemetery. A public viewing will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
