As a revered member of St. Matthew's Baptist Church in Bethune, S.C., she lived her faith, providing a living embodiment of its teachings.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Atkinson of Bethune, S.C.; son, Dennis Haggins of Bethune; grandchildren, Jessica Grier, Sasha Grier, Trey Higgins, Michael Higgins, Jalen Atkinson, and Terrance Haggins; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Dave Haggins, Sr.; parents, Eugene and Mary Felder Boyd; son, Dave Haggins, Jr.; sisters, Clara Magazine and Almeter Robinson; and brothers, Joseph Boyd and Daniel Boyd. Her legacy will live on through the cherished memories she left behind and the love she fostered.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with burial to follow in St. Matthew Baptist Church Cemetery in Bethune. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
