CAMDEN – A funeral service for Susan Clyburn Moore, 83, will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home.  The Rev. Warren Bolton and the Rev. Raymond Sellers will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will take place in Quaker Cemetery.

Mrs. Moore, wife of the late Robert Levan Moore, Sr., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Born in Camden, she was a daughter of the late Louis Singleton Clyburn, Sr. and Pauline Moseley Clyburn. She attended Camden High School, where she was a cheerleader, sang in the choir, and was crowned homecoming queen. Following graduation, she attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

During her years in Charleston, she met and later married Robert Levan Moore, Sr., an officer in the United States Navy. Mrs. Moore devoted her professional life to nursing, holding several positions before retiring in 1992. She later returned to her hometown of Camden, where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden. She enjoyed playing tennis and singing and was known for her kind heart, compassion for others, and deep love for her family.

Surviving are her son, Scott Moore (Jill) of Greensboro, North Carolina; her daughter, Paige Moore of Camden; four grandchildren, Jacob Moore, Hannah Moore, Christi Moore, and Vicki Moore; brothers, Louis Clyburn, Jr. (Sharon) and Jimmy Clyburn (Linda); and a sister, Sandra Dickey.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Robert Levan Moore, Jr., and a sister, Mary Louise Mays.
