Isaac "Ike" Jones, born on the last day of the year, December 31, 1935 in Camden, South Carolina, lived his life with the spirit of a New Year's Eve celebration; full of joy, warmth, and an infectious zest for life. He was a beloved resident of Kershaw County. Isaac spent over three decades committed to the service of others, working for KershawHealth Medical Center.
Isaac was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy and contentment in his favorite hobbies. He was a passionate golfer and an enthusiastic fisherman, spending many a peaceful day immersed in the tranquility of nature. Avid sports fan that he was, he always remained loyal to his home teams. His love for sports and nature was only surpassed by the love he had for his family and the community he served. His legacy will be remembered as that of a loving father, a dedicated worker, and a loyal friend.
Isaac is survived by his daughters, Terry Burgos (Ramon) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Tonya Jones of Stoneville, N.C., and Camilla Frazier of Brooklyn, N.Y.; grandchildren, Isaac Jones, Zion McCollom, Raymond Burgos, Reginald Burgos, and Camille Burgos; great-grandchildren, Marguis Burgos, Raven Burgos, Rajon Burgos, Mason Burgos and Khaylee Burgos; and great-great-grandchildren, Junior Burgos, Rayn Burgos, and Ramon Burgos. He now joins his parents, James and Mary Stanley Jones, in eternal rest, as well as his brothers, Charles Jones, Charlie Jones, Eddie Lee Jones, James Jones Jr., and Edwards Jones; and sistrs, Emma Johnson, Mary Carter, Hannah Mitchell, Rebecca Bess, Selena Benjamin and Barbara Majors.
A celebration of life service will be announced.
