BETHUNE- Bryan Norman Was, 69, passed away on January 7, 2026. Born in New Britain, CT, he was the son of Jean B. Was and the late Norman D. Was. Bryan was an electrician by trade and remodeled homes. He had a passion for sports cars and football, especially following the Miami Dolphins and Dan Marino, and New England Patriots and Tom Brady. Bryan enjoyed playing cards and board games with the family, liked the casinos and also took pride in putting on firework displays for his friends and family. He filled the room with his jokes and great sense of humor. He will truly be missed!
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine M. Was; his daughters, Carrie Aradhye and her husband Yogiraj of Round Rock, TX, Michelle Was of Manchester, CT; his step-daughter, Krystal Polito and her husband, Jeremy; his mother, Jean Was; his grandchildren, David Was, Wil Riccitelli, Shawn Mills, Adriana Mills, Aria Aradhye; his sisters, Lois Terzak and her husband John, Carol Belanger and her husband Kenneth; his niece, Katie Saulnier; and his nephew, Steven Belanger. He was predeceased by a daughter, Stacey Mills; and a grandson, Bryan S. Was.
Services for Bryan will be held at a later date in CT.
