Priscilla Andreu Obituary

Priscilla Andreu, born on February 26, 1937, in New York, NY, and a former longtime resident of California, passed away on January 4, 2026. Priscilla was a woman of incomparable spirit and loving heart, who touched the lives of all she met with her warmth and kindness. Her enduring faith and devotion to her Lord and Savior were the guiding lights of her life.

Priscilla retired in 2007 from the IRS  where she was a secretary. Outside of her professional life, her love for the Lord was evident in her active participation in Trinity Baptist Church in Vacaville, California, and later at New Life Christian Assembly in Lancaster, S.C. Her passion for studying the bible and watching gospel TV nurtured her spiritual growth and served as an inspiration to all those around her.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Juan and Carmen Collazo Perez.  She was also predeceased by a daughter, Loree Gaye Andreu; and brother, John Perez.

Surviving are her daughter, Deborah Penaloza (Jose) of Camden; sons, James Andreu (Lynn) of Avondale, Ariz. and John Andreu of Solvang, Calif.; siblings, Tony Perez, Aida Perez, Carmen Sequeira, Benjamin Perez, and Johnny Rivera; grandchildren, Erin Andreu, Rebekah Penaloza, Lucy Andreu, and Ruby Andreu; and great-granddaughter, Aloralyn Andreu.

A service to celebrate Priscilla's life will be held on Friday, January 23 at 1:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan's Purse (Samatianspurse.org).
