Patsy Arlene Ray, 72, passed away on December 17, 2025. She was born on May 30, 1953, in Camden, South Carolina to the late Henry Edward and Mary Elizabeth Corbett Ray. 

Patsy was the embodiment of pure kindness and selflessness. In her professional life, she retired from Walmart after 30 years. In her personal life, Patsy was an avid thrifter, always on the hunt for hidden treasures. She loved the beach, the mountains, and cherished family trips. Patsy was a woman who would help anybody and everybody, a trait that made her beloved by all. Her kind spirit and unwavering love for her family were her defining qualities. 

Patsy is survived by her sister, Sherrie Ray of Lugoff, SC; cousin, Kimberly M. Gibson (Robert) of Kershaw, SC and Riley K. Gibson of Kershaw, SC; special aunt, Geneva Makison. 

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Henry and Mary Elizabeth Corbett Ray; brother, David Ray of Lugoff, SC and Roger Dale Ray of Lugoff, SC; and nephew, Kelvin Ray of Lugoff, SC. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. With burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Camden, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Todd Horton will officiate.
