Bill Sartin Obituary

William “Bill” Sartin, beloved husband of Joan Sartin, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Born in Lebanon, Indiana, he was the son of the late William Guy Sartin and Maxine Rae Sartin.


Bill graduated from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering and spent his career in restaurant technology. Throughout his professional life, Bill and Joan lived in Indianapolis, Indiana; Miami, Florida; and Nashville, Tennessee.


After retiring in 2010, Bill and Joan moved to Camden, South Carolina, where he enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren.


In addition to his wife, Joan, Bill is survived by his sons, Timothy and Jeremy; his daughter-in-law, Misty; his son-in-law, Sean; his grandchildren, William Tate and Eleanor Grace; his sister-in-law, Janice Oberg; and his brother-in-law, Paul Parker. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Cheryl and Joanna.


Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the Sartins’ residence in Camden, South Carolina. A private memorial service will be held at the residence immediately following at 3:00 p.m.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lake Wateree Association, in recognition of Bill’s love of the lake and dedication to preserving its natural beauty.
