Miranda Lynn Rose, affectionally known as "Big Lynn", a humble and loving soul, was born on December 31, 1984, in Camden, South Carolina. She departed from us on November 26, 2025, leaving a void that can never be filled.
Lynn rose above and beyond her role as a Medicine Transporter in the medical field, where her diligence and ambitious spirit shone through. She was a proud 2003 graduate of Camden High School where she showcased her athletic skill in basketball. This passion carried on to her years at Morris College in Sumter, S.C., Labette Community College, Parsons, Ks., Chesapeake College in Baltimore, Md., where she continued to play the sport she loved. An avid motorcycle rider, Lynn found joy in the thrill of the ride and she loved to light up a grill. However, her greatest joy came from her cherished children, whom she adored with all her heart.
Lynn is survived by her loving parents, Harvey and Thomassinea Rose. She leaves behind her beloved children, Treyvon Wright, Shanaryah Wright, Kevin Wright, and Keira Wright, who were her world. She also leaves behind her brother, Harvey Rose, Jr. (MaKeitha) and sister, Camilla Williams (Jermaine); former husband, Kevin Wright; special friend, Crystal Brisbon; 3 nieces, Keiasha and Leiyana Rose, and Ah'Rihanna Jones; 2 nephews, JaQuez Rose and Anthony Schofield; 2 great-nephews, Nolan Rose and Grayson Schofield; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and godchildren. Each of them will continue to carry Lynn's memory in their hearts. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "It is not length of life, but depth of life", and Lynn’s life, though cut short, was indeed deep and full of love and warmth.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff, South Carolina, 29078. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Camden High School Gymnasium with burial to follow in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery #2 on Bishopville Highway, Camden, S.C.
