ELGIN- A celebration of life service for Meta H. Conley, 91, will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Salem Methodist Church, Elgin. The Rev. Stewart Kidd will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Methodist Church.

    Mrs. Conley, wife of the late Richard Conley, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born in Obermoschel, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Johann Heitzer and Philippina Heitzer, and step-mother, Margarete Heitzer. Mrs. Conley was a member of Salem Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and puzzle books.

    Surviving are her daughter, Hilda Fleming (Dana) of Elgin; grandson, Richard Fleming (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Fleming, Allison Fleming, Jake Zeller, Sarah Zeller, Kennedy Zeller-Chase, Rowan Zeller-Chase; and a sister, Walburga Jarke of Germany. She was predeceased by brothers, Kurt Heitzer and Vincent Heitzer.
