It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Shallimar Abella Perez, who left this earthly realm on November 16, 2025. Born on May 9, 2003, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Shallimar was a radiant beam of sunshine. She lived vibrantly in Elgin, South Carolina, where she was known for her outgoing personality, her infectious smile, and her deep desire to be cared for and to be loved. 

In her free time, she had a special flair for drawing and doing her nails, but her favorite pastime was spending time in nature and by the beach. She found joy in the simplicity of listening to music. Yet, the role she cherished most was being a mother, a task she undertook with all the love, devotion, and joy in her heart. 

Shallimar is survived by her loving parents, Jaime Abella and Zuleima Perez; significant other, Wayne Hamilton; children, Wynn Hamilton, Soilesse Hamilton and Siyah Hamilton; sister, Zullimar Abella Perez; brother, Luis M. Jimenez; maternal grandparents, Hector Perez and Anarosa Garcia; paternal grandparents, Raquel Ramirez and Raul Febus; maternal aunts, Roxana Perez and Roxabel Perez; maternal uncle, Luis Perez; paternal aunt, Cynthia Abella, Natividad Reyes; and cousins, Levi Luckey Perez, Jalen Luckey Perez and Bella Luckey Perez. 

Shallimar is predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Maria Cancel and cousin, Giovanni Copeland. 

 She lived her life with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference in the lives of those around her. 

Her service will be private.
