Vasco Nuno Milhomens, 70, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Born in Pico Da Pedra, Portugal, on May 29, 1955 he was the son of the late Manuel Pereira Milhomens and Maria Jose Ponte Correa Milhomens. Vasco was a very accomplished and experienced professional fiber glass laminator and had a hand in building numerous vehicles and boats. One of the many cars Mr. Milhomens built was a 1965 Shelby Cobra , which helped him bring home first place in the Newport car show. He was known for being a quite guy but could crack a joke in a heart beat. He was also known as "Mr.Fix It", he was always the person to call when you needed a hand. Mr. Milhomens enjoyed gardening and fishing. Despite his many accomploishments in the car and boat scene, his biggest accomplishment was marrying his loving wife 51 years ago at the Chapel By The Sea at the Newport Naval Base, Mrs. Ruth Anne McPherson Milhomens, whom he leaves behind to cherish his memories. 

In addition to Mrs. Ruth, he is survived by his children, Jamie Milhomens Pereira and Joseph "Joey" Milhomens (Holly); siblings, Carlos Milhomens (Evangelina), Anthony Milhomens (Isabel) and Maria Mota (Edward); and grandchildren, Madison "Matthew" DaSilva, Cynthia Pereira and Nathan Milhomens.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Joseph Alexander Milhomens and Connie Medeiros. 

A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Vasco will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
