Betty J. Rabon Jones, 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Blaney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. Rabon and Gertrude Sanders Churchwell. She married her late husband, David Ernest Jones on June 6, 1963.

Betty, in addition to being a loving mother and matriarch of the family, found great joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved to work. She was employed by Allied, in Irmo, as a machine operator for a number of years. She continued working at Piggly Wiggly in Camden until she was 83 years old. She enjoyed camping, especially at Ocean Lakes Campground in Myrtle Beach. She also loved playing bingo and scratch-offs.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Donald W. Sapp of Blythewood, David Eugene Jones (Heather) of Lugoff, Joseph Jesse Jones (Cindy) of Elgin;  8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Clara Floyd, Bobby Rabon and Patricia Gladden.

A Time of Gathering honoring the life of Mrs. Jones will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Powers Funeral Home.
