Craig Paul Miezejeski, Sr., Obituary

ELGIN- Craig Paul Miezejeski, Sr., 64, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Born in Middletown, CT, he was a son of the late John Stanley Miezejeski and Dorothy Lillian Guile Miezejeski. Craig devoted his life to serving others—as a SGT in the U.S. Army and later as a TSA Officer, contributing a combined 24 years to public service. He also spent 21 years working as a professional butcher, a trade he took great pride in. Craig was a member of the Catholic faith and a passionate Boston Red Sox fan, always eager to share his love of baseball with those around him.


 


   Left to cherish his memory are his son, Craig Paul Miezejeski II (Jaclyn) of Elgin; step-daughters, Nicole Bender, and Rachael Willis (Brent); and grandchildren, Carmen, Wayne, and Dean Miezejeski. He also leaves behind his brother, Kevin Miezejeski; his sister, Pru Shrader (Clint); and many dear friends. Craig was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Johnny Miezejeski.


 


    A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
