A beloved mother, devout friend, and a resilient spirit, Caren's life was a testament to her tenacity, compassion, and unwavering faith. Born in De Queen, AR, on July 11, 1954, Caren made her life in Elgin, South Carolina, where her radiant spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her love for writing letters was a testament to her belief in the power of words and their ability to connect people. Caren's letters were heartfelt and filled with wisdom, love, and a unique perspective on life that will be dearly missed. Caren was a devout member of her local church, finding comfort and community in her faith. She was a beacon of light, offering her wisdom and guidance to those around her.
Caren is survived by her daughter, Crystal Celso (Eduardo); son, Jason Carr; bonus children, Nikki Greger and Franky Greger; grandchildren, Kristeena Hendrickson (Nick), Angeleena Jaramillo (Mario), Elyssa Skonicki (James), Mario Celso (Christina) and Dominique Carr; great-grandchildren, Mario Jaramillo, Jr., Vivian Celso, Alano Jaramillo, Joleigh Jaramillo, Mario Celso II, Phoenix Celso, Malia Skonicki, Noah Skonicki, Zoren Celso and Sienna Skonicki; furbabies, Buddy, Runty and Queenie; and special friends Ladonna Maxwell.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Ramsey Huckaby; parents, Jimmie and Jaqueline Lyons (Johnson); and brothers, Jimmie Lyons and David Lyons.
A service will be privately held by the family in Arkansas at a later date.
