Kenneth Edward Carmichael, Jr., was born on September 14, 1957 in Dayton, OH to the late Kenneth Carmichael, Sr. and Mary Carmichael. His life, though it ended on the 6th of November, 2025, will continue to echo through the many lives he touched, the stories he shared, and the love he bestowed upon those around him.
Kenneth was a man of many interests, but he found his greatest joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as sitting by the lake, fishing, and indulging in some good old classic rock. He had a natural knack for craftsmanship and his work was a testament to his skill and dedication. Mr. Carmichael honorably served his country in the United States Army.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Michelle Carmichael; daughters, Marie Bell (Frank) and Kayla Turner; sisters, Mary Walling and Karen Fogle; grandchildren, Maverick Bell, Milli Warner, Nathan Turner and Apollo Turner; nephews, George D. Fogle, James L. Thames and Joseph; and nieces, Kelly Walling and Jennifer Walling.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Sr. and Mary Carmichael; brother-in-law, Bryan Wayne Walling, Sr.; nephews, Stephen Elliot Fogle, Kevin Edward Fogle, and Bryan Wayne Walling, Jr.
A memorial service for Mr. Carmichael will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11:30 am at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, SC. With burial to follow the service in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
