Charles R. Lambert Obituary

Charles Raymond Lambert, lovingly known as ‘Chuck’, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 27, 2025. Charles was born on July 31, 1946, to the late Jodie Clarence Lambert and Myrtle Garner Lambert in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Charles made Columbia, South Carolina his home and found his calling in the US Department of Agriculture. He retired as a supervisor of Printing, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, commitment, and talent. His professional excellence, however, was only surpassed by his personal attributes. In both his work and personal life, Charles was known for his steadfast loyalty. He cherished his family and friends, always prioritizing their needs and concerns.

Charles had a knack for fixing things and took up computer repairing as a hobby post-retirement. His talent for solving problems was not limited to just computers, as he often helped his friends and family find solutions to their dilemmas. His love for his family was profound, and he valued every moment spent with them.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tonya Michelle Branham (Bill) of Columbia, granddaughter, Taylor Michelle Sweat of Evans, Ga. and Brantley Nichole Wallace (Romley Wallace III) of Irmo; and great-grandson, Romley Wallace IV.  He was predeceased by his loving wife whom he married on August 1, 1979, Mary Evelyn Cagle Lambert;  brother, Jerry James Lambert; and sister, Ethel Joann Overturf.

The visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Southland Memorial Gardens Chapel, 700 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, South Carolina, 29170. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at Southland Memorial Gardens Chapel.
